Ahoy there, Mateys.

Well...one evening, after all his intrepid friends had gone to sleep, Tharkor boldly went where most Dwarves fear to tread. In other words, he got on a boat. (Egad.)

The ride was quite entertaining. Sites along the way included aqua goblins, mermaid-like sirens, a giant wading through the waves, an island of women dedicated to Erillosi, and a Scylla and Charbidis-like rock formation.

Eventually though, the ship docked in Freeport and our intrepid pioneer got back onto solid dirt (kissed it many times), and journeyed through the Human city. Ignoring the squalidness of above ground dwellings, he passed through the city and into...a Desert! Nary a tree in site! Nothing but spiders, skeletons and cacti to break the monotony of the desert.

However, refusing to believe this was indeed the end of the world (for so it seemed), Tharkor passed through into an area of badlands and rock formations. It's aridness was impressive, but the grandeur it contained was amazing. Without meaning to, our hero stumbled onto a tunnel beneath the mountains.

Sir Lawrence of Kaladim

Thinking to himself, "Ah ha! I've found one of the fabled dungeons", he risked dismemberment (an all too common occurrence for Tharkor), and delved into the opening. He walked and walked, skirted a central chamber inhabited by Dread Bucanneers and passed through into a new territory. Still arid, this area had trees and looked a bit more accomodating.

But scarce had he arrived when he was beset on by a ferocious puma. The puma would have nothing to do with Tharkor's pleas to be left alive and ripped him to shreds. (bah.)

So...Tharkor's spirit fled to the embrace of his homeland and was reincarnated once again. But all of our hero's belongings were in that new land.

With a great sigh, he returned to the port once again to begin the long, harrowing journey again. There he found that Kiggle was still at the port and convinced his good friend to accompany him. The journey there was vastly more entertaining the second time as Tharkor got to play "experienced world traveller" to his friend, and...after recovering Tharkor's remains...this time the journey was a round trip.

As the Sun Sets on our Misadventures

When at last the sun set on their journeys, Tharkor eagerly anticipates being able to bind his soul to other locations so that death is not such a grand inconvenience. "Then," he thought, "I shall become a true world traveller."
